Data were collected from 379 subjects. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire. The statistics applied in the process were percentage arithmetic mean and standard deviation, t-test (Independent), F-test (One Way ANOVA), and content analysis.<br>The study found that most of the subjects were females, 36 - 45 years old, married (living together), with primary school education, Had a career in agriculture, 3 - 4 family members, and a monthly income between 5,001 - 15,000 Baht. Overall, the quality of life of people in Laokhwan district, Kanchanaburi Province was at a good level. (Mean = 3.46, SD.= 0.48) When considered each factor, it was found that the quality of life in terms of the mental<br>health was with the highest mean (Mean = 3.56, SD. = 0.66) followed by environment (Mean = 3.43, SD. = 0.69), social relationship (Mean = 3.43, SD. = 0.69), and physical health (Mean = 3.35, SD. = 0.49), respectively. For comparison of quality of life of people in Laokhwan district, Kanchanaburi Province according to their personal factors, it was found that people who were different in gender, age, level of education, occupation and monthly income had different quality of life at a signifi cance level of .05 while people who were different in marital status and number of family members were not different in their quality of life.<br>Suggestions for study, the government should focus on physical development, psychological, social relationship and environment. It will be benefi cial for people in the community to have a good quality of life. The population consisted of 200 Village Health Volunteers, Sample size determination using Yamane's formula for 194 people Sampling with specifi c selection methods. The research instrument was a questionnaire, Alpha-Coeffi cient 0.78, the data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and Scheffe were used for compare.</span></p> <p><span class="fontstyle0">The results showed that: All of the Village Health Volunteers had motivation in performance at a moderate level. The comparison of levels of motivation in performance of the village health volunteers between male and female had no differences of motivation. (p &lt; 0.05). There weren’t signifi cance different of motivation in performance of the village health volunteers who had a variety of ages. The Public Health Offi ce in the Health Area 6, in collaboration with the private sector in Chonburi Province and nearby areas, sent samples for quality analysis at the Medical<br>Sciences Center 6 Chonburi during 2020-2022, total 1,101 samples. Divided into 916 samples of drinking water in sealed containers and 185 samples of ice. From the results of the analysis, it was found that 8 samples of drinking water in sealed containers did not meet the criteria for fl uoride, 3 chloride samples and 12 nitrate samples. And in the ice, there were 2 samples of fl uoride that did not meet the criteria, chloride was not found in any samples that did not<br>meet the criteria. And 2 samples of nitrate not meeting the criteria. From the results of the study, it can be noted that some water samples still have quality problems. The relevant agencies should communicate, provide knowledge, and give advice to manufacturers to improve quality. And there is further surveillance to ensure compliance with the criteria as announced by the Ministry of Public Health.</span> </p> Saowanee Wiangnil Amonrat Poonsawat Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-09-27 2024-09-27 38 1 26 33 HAPPINESS AT WORK OF THE VILLAGE HEALTH VOLUNTEERS IN PLUAKDAENG DISTRICT, RAYONG PROVINCE https://thaidj.org/index.php/CRPHC/article/view/15811 <p><span class="fontstyle0">The objectives of this cross-sectional survey research were to study the happiness at work and the factors infl uencing the happiness at work of the village health volunteers in pluakdaeng distric, Rayong province. The samples were 230 the village health volunteers, selected by multi-stage random sampling. The data were collected by interview questionnaires and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test, Pearson’s<br>product moment correlation coeffi cient and Stepwise multiple regression analysis. <br></span><span class="fontstyle0">The results showed that 56.1 percent of the village health volunteers had a moderate level of happiness at work, followed by a high level (36.9%) and a low level (7%). The factors which were signifi cantly associated with happiness at work of the village health volunteers were age, self - esteem, family relationship, social support and perception of social circumstances (p–value &lt; 0.001). The statistically signifi cant predictor variables were social support and family relationship. The classifi cation result was 35.7% correctly classifi ed. <br></span><span class="fontstyle0">The finding suggest that involved organizations should establish the reinforcement of promoting happiness at work of the village health volunteers by promoting the village health volunteers’s self-esteem. There should also be suffi cient social support, family relationship as well as management of social circumstances in agreement with the desire and life style, to maintain the with happiness at work of the village health volunteers.</span> </p> Chutigai Tantichaivanit Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2024-09-27 2024-09-27 38 1 34 44 External Quality Assessment for HIV Serology Testing of Laboratories in Central and Eastern Thailand 2018-2022 https://thaidj.org/index.php/CRPHC/article/view/15812 <p><span class="fontstyle0">External Quality Assessment is the important process for evaluate the laboratory performance due to ensure that the analysis results are accurate and reliable. Participation in proficiency testing program is the once requirement for accreditation of ISO 15189 assessment. In this study, the objective was to evaluate laboratory quality in National External Quality Assessment Scheme for HIV serology testing program in the Central and Eastern regions during<br>the fi scal year 2018 – 2022. Participant laboratories were 143 – 194 laboratories performing HIV serology testing. Quality assessment based on compliance with assigned value. The operations consist of sample delivery to member 3 times in a year, result accumulation, result evaluation and reporting. This study found the response rate of participants were 91.70%, 93.83%, 94.31%, 94.27% and 92.72%, respectively. The percentage of accuracy results were 95.17%, 95.36%, 97.45%, 97.05% and 89.87%, respectively. The most common causes of error are incorrect records or incorrect conclusions, contamination and sample switching. The result of laboratory’s testing in repeat sample at 98.79%, 99.23%, 99.45%, 99.27% and 99.24%, respectively. In the part of fi nal interpretation, It found the laboratories were not followed the Thailand guideline on HIV/AIDS Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention but the trend of misinterpretation was decrease after getting the recommendation from the provider. The information from this study is useful for laboratory improvement and prevention.
