The study participants included 1) 25 community leaders and stakeholders and 2) 306 older adults. Data were collected through questionnaires and focus group discussions, and analyzed using content analysis, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics with a paired
t-test.

The findings revealed that the developed model was based on participatory collaboration among community members and multi-sectoral networks, including public and private sectors, consistent with the principles of PAR. The model comprised five key steps: 1) community assessment guided by the World Health Organization’s concept of age-friendly cities, 2) needs assessment and issue prioritization, 3) development planning, 4) feedback and policy advocacy through community and administrative channels and 5) evaluation and continuous reflection for sustainable improvement. This process resulted in the establishment of
a prototype age-friendly community aligned with the WHO’s eight domains of age-friendly cities.

Regarding outcomes, the overall quality of life scores of older adults significantly improved after the implementation (p < 0.05). Domain-specific analysis indicated statistically significant improvements in psychological well-being, social relationships, and environmental aspects (p < 0.05), while physical health scores showed a positive trend but did not reach statistical significance
(p = 0.07).

Keywords: Age-Friendly Community, Participation, Quality of Life
เสกสรรค์ ช้างเขียว, Adul Wuttijurepan, Sopawadee Saensiriwong, Pimchai Srikwar Copyright (c) 2025 Phrae Provincial Public Health Officer https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16465 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Effectiveness of application for fluid replacement and blood management during surgery https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16636
Fluid replacement and blood management are crucial roles of nurse anesthetists during surgery, significantly impacting patient survival. Developing an application to assist in fluid and blood management calculations is essential. This quasi-experimental research aimed to study 1) the effectiveness of a fluid replacement and blood management application during surgery and 2) nurse anesthetists' satisfaction with the application. The sample included 39 nurse anesthetists from the anesthesiology department of Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, selected through systematic sampling. Data collection tools consisted of a test and an opinion questionnaire, validated by six experts with a content validity index ranging from 0.83 to 1.00 and reliability ranging from 0.81 to 0.87. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test.

The results showed that the average time for manual calculations was 4.09 minutes, while the application significantly reduced the calculation time to 0.22 minutes (p < 0.05, p = 0.00). Nurse anesthetists' satisfaction with the application was at a highest level across all aspects (mean = 4.79 ± 0.40), including convenience, speed, accuracy, and applicability in both emergency and routine situations. This study demonstrates that the application effectively enhances operational efficiency and patient safety.

Keywords: Fluid Replacement, Blood Management, Application
ศักดิ์กฤษณ์ ประสิทธิ์ศุภการ, จิราภรณ์ เตชะอุดมเดช, ประเสริฐศักดิ์ ขอห้องกลาง Copyright (c) 2025 Phrae Provincial Public Health Officer https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16636 Thu, 04 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Effectiveness Effectiveness of a practice guidelines for the prevention of phlebitis in patients receiving intravenous therapy at In Patient Department Nongmuangkhai hospital, Phrae Province https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16615
This action research aims to develop and study the effectiveness of a practice guideline for the prevention of phlebitis in inpatients. The focus was on continuous development and improvement of the guideline using the PDCA cycle as
a conceptual framework. The sample consisted of 1) 14 professional nurses working in inpatient department 2) 100 patients receiving intravenous fluids admitted to the inpatient department. The instruments included a knowledge assessment form,
a nursing practice assessment form for the prevention of phlebitis in the inpatient department, and a record of the incidence and severity of phlebitis . Content validity was approved by experts and reliability was tested using the Kuder-Richardson formula (KR-20), with a reliability score of 0.95. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, and mean.

The results found that a practice guideline for the prevention of phlebitis in inpatient department was developed at Nong Muang Khai Hospital, Phrae Province. The results showed that after implementation of the practice guideline, the effectiveness of a guideline for the prevention of phlebitis was significantly improved. Professional nurses' knowledge of intravenous fluid administration and prevention of phlebitis increased from moderate ( = 10.07, S.D. = 1.44) to high
( = 15.29, S.D. = 2.01). Their ability to correctly perform nursing activities to prevent phlebitis from intravenous fluid administration increased from 81.80% to 97.65%, and the incidence of phlebitis decreased.

Keywords: Effectiveness/the practice guideline intravenous fluids/peripheral phlebitis
วรางคณา วงศ์อรินทร์, กรรณิการ์ ชัยนันท์, นิพิฐพนธ์ แสงด้วง Copyright (c) 2025 Phrae Provincial Public Health Officer https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16615 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Effects of Tele-nursing in COPD Patients’ Care after Discharge from the Hospital https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16611
This study is a quasi-experimental two-group study with pre-test and
post-test. It aimed to investigate the effects of telenursing on the care of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) after hospital discharge. between intervention and control groups. The sample group was made up of COPD patients who were admitted to Mae ai hospital. The participants were selected by purposive sampling with 30 subjects to divide the sample into an experimental group of 15 and a control group of 15 subjects for 4th week. The data were analyzed using percentages, standard deviations, means, and independence samples t-tests.

The results showed a statistically significant difference in the mean score of knowledge and the mean score of practice between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.00, < 0.00), respectively. The mean score of the COPD assessment test (CAT) and readmission rate within 28 days after discharge was no statistically significant difference between the experimental and the control groups. However, the mean score of CAT in the experimental group decreased more than in the control group, and the readmission rate within 28 days after discharge in the experimental group was less than in the control group during the study period.

Tele-nursing could increase the potential for COPD patient self-care after discharge and readmission rate prevention, and telehealth can be used as an alternative for caring for COPD patients after discharge.

Keywords: Tele-nursing, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Readmission rate within 28 days
สุพิน รู้ธรรม, ศุภาพร แก้วประเสริฐ Copyright (c) 2025 Phrae Provincial Public Health Officer https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16611 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Factors Affecting Maternity Benefit Receipt among Social Security Insured Persons Receiving Prenatal Care and Delivery Services at Phrae Hospital, Phrae Province https://thaidj.org/index.php/jpphd/article/view/16907
This comparative causal study aimed to examine factors associated with
the utilization of maternity benefits among 200 insured women who received antenatal care and delivery services at Phrae Hospital.
