Transplantation avulsion tooth associated with external root resorption affect from accident by apexification treatment : A case report

Abstract

    This article reports a case of traumatized avulsion permanent tooth in a 9 years old Thai boy. He has accidental and avulsion on the upper left central incisor with vital periodontal ligament cell. When patient and the parents received an explanation about causes and a treatment of choice, he received transplantation and splinted with adjacent teeth. After that external root resorption occured with periapical lesion. Next time, endodontic treatment by calcium hydroxide apexification. When hard tissue barrier was formed, treatment was concluded with gutta – percha obturation with root canal cement. A follow – up after 6 months showed that the tooth free of any clinical symptoms and periapical condition was normal.
