Drug Eruptions in cancer patients who received chemotherapy Cancer center Ratchaburi hospital
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Objective : The research study to examine the rationale of drug eruption from chemotherapy drug.
Methodology : The retrospective study who received chemotherapy at Cancer center, Ratchaburi hospital in 2018 – 2020
Results : The majority of the participants were females (75.0 %) whereas males constituted 25.0% of the participants. The age of most of the participants ranged between 56 - 60 years (35.0 %), had occupation career (33.75 %), had underlying disease/co-morbidity (76.41%). Top three of chemotherapy which causes drug eruption were Oxaliplatin (27.50%) Paclitaxel (13.75%) Carboplatin (7.50%). The most of drug eruption are Flushing (35.38%) Urticaria (33.85%) Maculopapular drug eruption (12.31%) Erythema multiforme (9.23%) Angioedema (6.15%) and Fixed drug eruption (3.08%). Level of drug eruption are Probable (56.25%) Possible (26.25%) Certain (13.75%) and Unclassified (2.50%). Must of the drug eruption in this study caused by Oxaliplatin (Flushing and Urticaria = 40.91%), Maculopapular drug eruption (18.18%) Placlitaxel (Flushing = 36.37%, Urticaria Maculopapular drug eruption and = 9.09%).
