COVID-19 Outbreak Situation as of December 12, 2022 The cumulative number of cases worldwide has been 649,038,437 and the cumulative death toll is 6,645,812. 3.3 million new cases Relatively stable (about 2 percent), but the mortality rate is rising. There were 9700 deaths (more than 10 percent) compared to late November. Determined by region, World Health Organization ( WHO region ) New COVID-19 infections decline Relatively stable in 5 out of 6 regions, the World Health Organization Africa fell 73 percent, Southeast Asia fell 33 percent, Europe fell 11 percent, and East Mediterranean fell 11 percent. The death rate in early December 2022 compared to the week before late November increased in three WHO regions: Africa (+975%), the Americas (+37%) and the Eastern Mediterranean. Mortality rates have decreased in three WHO regions: Europe (-17%), Southeast Asia (-10%) and the Western Pacific (-5%). New cases are high in Indonesia. 6.8 cases per 100,000 population (epidemic is down 33% compared to the previous week), mortality rate is less than 1 per 100,000 population (death rate is down 19% compared to the previous week). Thailand recorded 5.7 new cases per 100,000 population (epidemic decreased by 8% compared to the previous week), mortality rate was less than 1 per 100,000 population (mortality rate increased by 2% compared to the previous week). From the Progress Report on the Coronavirus Disease Situation Weekly COVID-19 in Thailand as of December 3 , 2022 by the World Health Organization A total of 4,711,528 confirmed cases have been confirmed. The total death toll is 33,285. The trend of infections is increasing compared to the United States. Italy, Iran, Japan, Korea and Singapore New cases are more common in Bangkok. The number of new cases increased by 36 per cent compared to the last week of November, and new cases were seen in some northern provinces. Northeast and South COVID-19 cases Average of 612 new cases per day With an average of 15 deaths per day as of December 3, 2022, the total number of intensive care patients is 632. A total of 349 patients were on ventilators. The rate of increase in severe cases and patients on mechanical ventilation in 7 days was 14.3% and 9.4%, respectively.
