Abstract

Chronic wounds present a significant challenge in dermatological and surgical practice. This review explores the therapeutic potential of Pulse Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy as an adjunctive treatment for various chronic wound types encountered in dermatology. We delve into the characteristics of chronic wounds, standard treatment approaches, the mechanisms of action by which PEMF promotes wound healing, its clinical applications, and the evidence supporting its efficacy.
