This cross-sectional descriptive research and compare the results study aimed to determine the performance of practice guideline in palliative care patients. We recruited 165 Care givers’ palliative care, adult patients who were treated at Chonburi hospital. The research instruments employed in data collection were a questionnaire of the personal information concerning the health status with assessment scales on the palliative care system, care givers’ quality of life and the patient outcome scale. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. The study showed high scores on the care givers’ quality of life and the care givers’ patients has been well served. The mean scores of care givers’ palliative care outcome scale were significant (p<0.05). We recommend that there should be intensive, in-depth training about accurate and complete medical records. Health personnel should be consistently applied throughout the four elements of quality of life. Practice guidelines should be reviewed and evaluated every 6 and 12 months and knowledge management every month.
