The objectives of this research were to study medical supplies management system conditions and the factors positively influencing medical supplies management system. The data were collected from annual audit programme of 12 hospitals in Chonburi province. Nine control measures of medical supplies management system of Ministry of Public Health was used to be the audit framework., The routine practice of  78 persons who were responsible for medical supplies management system from 12 hospitals in Chonburi had been surveyed by questionnaires . Data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics.

There was only 1 of 12 hospitals fully complied with all nine control measures (8.33 percent) and the other 11 hospitals required improvement and correction (91.67 percent). Two control measures of medical supplies management system were significantly different between the fully compliant hospital and the other 11 non-compliant hospitals; 1) medical supplies management system in the topic of the procurement plan to be accomplished on schedule (p=0.003) and 2) control/preservation in the topic of  the medical supplies store locking system required two independent locks and two independent key keepers to unlock the door (p=0.021). The other seven control measures were not different between both hospital groups. These two control measures were the management factor which was a part of 4M management system, therefore they were two particular factors positively influencing medical supplies management system of 12 hospitals in Chonburi province.
