The Suicide in Region 6 Health Provider 2016-2018

Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive study was to examine the characteristics of complete suicide in region 6 Health Provider from 2016-2018. The suicide rate in region 6 Health Provider was lower than whole country (average rate of 5.96 per 100,000 population during 2016-2018). The ratio of male to female was 3.7:1. Aged 35-39 years was peak age group for suicides. Hanging was the most common suicide method followed by the use of agricultural toxic substances. High suicide rates occurred in Chanthaburi, Trat, Sa Kaeo province that border with Cambodia.
