Abstract

This study was a part of Diabetes Mellitus caring system development in Baan Hae Primary Care Unit, Amphoe Maueng, Ang Thong province and an evaluation of Healthy Diabetes Mellitus Club to adjust the way of diabetes patientีs life style.  It was a quasi-experiment research of one group.  The samples were  all 47 members of Healthy Diabetes Mellitus Club which operated between October 2006 - September 2007.  Data were collected by using patientีs record from and were analyzed for statistical difference by chi-square test.  The activities in club were self help group, camp, food for health, knowledge about drugs, physical exercise, foot caring, and health profile etc.  Body mass index, hemoglobin A1C and lipid profile were measured before and after the club activities.  The result found that after club activities body mass index, hemoglobin A1C, triglyceride, HDL- cholesterol and LDL- cholesterol  were  no significant difference.  So their individual health profiles were used for holistic health care at home (Home Health Care).
