Implementing a Model of Caring Depressives at Kham Khuean Kaew Hospital, Changwat Yasothon - การนำรูปแบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยโรคซึมเศร้าไปใช้ในโรงพยาบาลคำเขื่อนแก้ว จังหวัดยโสธร
Abstract
In this action research, The research participants consisted of people who received services, people in general, a risk group, and a high-risk group aged 18 years and older in the areas of screening depression disorders. The screening forms on depression service used were a 2-question form and a 9-question form administered from January 2007 to February 2008 with a total of 2,800 people, 31 health service providers at Kham Khuean Kaew Hospital and at Tambon Lum Phuk Community Health Center, and 80 village public health volunteers. The study was conducted in 3 stages. Stage 1 was an assessment of local problems on depression and surveillance at Kham Kuean Khaew Hospital. Data were collected by the use of group discourse. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The conclusions obtained were used as guidelines for implementation and research action plans. In stage 2 activities were conducting based on the research action plans. Stage 3 was an evaluation of the results from research action and an evaluation of service users on satisfaction.
The results of implementing the model of depression disease care and surveillance in Kham Khuean Kaew Hospital, showed that the surveillance was congruent with the existing context. The development process consisted of identifying an appropriate system of depression care and surveillance by trial and error, capacity building, actual screening of the risk groups, healthy education, and evaluation. It was found that 159 depressives could be screened, (5.68% of the clients), of which 95.44 percent rated their satisfaction with the service at a very good level.
