Outcomes of Tawanchai Cleft Center’s Financial Management among the Care of Patients with Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate annual 2017-2020

ผลลัพธ์การบริหารจัดการด้านการเงินศูนย์ตะวันฉายในการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยปากแหว่งเพดานโหว่ ประจำปี พ.ศ. 2560-2563

หลักการและวัตถุประสงค์: ศูนย์ตะวันฉาย บริการดูแล รักษา ผ่าตัด ฟื้นฟูสภาพ พัฒนาระบบการดูแล งานวิชาการ วิจัย และช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วย/ครอบครัวด้วยเงินสนับสนุนอย่างต่อเนื่อง ดังนั้นจึงต้องการทราบผลลัพธ์การบริหารการเงิน

วิธีการศึกษา: ศึกษาแบบตัดขวางแสดงผลลัพธ์การบริหารการเงิน จากข้อมูลรายงานประจำปีของศูนย์ฯ 3 ด้าน คือ รายรับ-รายจ่าย การดำเนินงาน และผลลัพธ์ที่เป็นตัวชี้วัดผลการดูผู้ป่วย ข้อมูลถูกรวบรวม วิเคราะห์ เสนอเป็นสถิติร้อยละ ภายใน 3 เดือน

ผลการศึกษา: พบว่าศูนย์ฯ ใช้เงินทุนจากต่างประเทศร้อยละ 49.78 จากร้อยละ 52.75 เพื่อพัฒนาระบบการดูแลผู้ป่วย ผลลัพธ์ตรงตามเป้าหมายค่าชี้วัด 4 ตัว และ ใช้ทุนวิจัย ร้อยละ 38.71 จาก ร้อยละ 74.81 จากฝ่ายวิจัย มข.เพื่อการวิจัย และตีพิมพ์ในวารสารระดับนานาชาติในฐาน SciMago Q ที่ 1 และ 2 และฐาน QS/ISI 1 เรื่อง  6 เรื่อง  และ 85 เรื่อง ตามลำดับ ศูนย์ฯซึ่งเป็นมูลนิธิ สามารถบริหารเงินร้อยละ 82.33 จากเงินบริจาคแค่ร้อยละ 77.60 ช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วย/ครอบครัว จำนวน 554 ราย/ปี เป็นเงิน 2,091,668.57 บาท  

สรุป: ศูนย์ฯ ช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยและครอบครัวผ่านมูลนิธิ โดย ดูแล รักษา ผ่าตัด และฟื้นฟูสภาพผู้ป่วยแบบสหวิทยาการ ผลลัพธ์การดูแลตรงตามเป้าหมาย การบริหารการเงินที่ดีโดยร่วมกันทำงานแบบบูรณาการ ส่งผลดีต่อการดูแลผู้ป่วย ผลงานวิจัยทางวิชาการได้ตีพิมพ์ทั้งระดับชาติและนานาชาติ

Background and Objective: Tawanchai center provides care, treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, and develops a system of care, academic, research and assistance to patients/families with continuous financial supports. Therefore, we want to know the outcomes of financial management.

Method: A cross-sectional study reporting the outcomes of the center’s financial management was applied for collecting data from the annual reports of the center within 3 aspects i.e. its income-expenses, operations, and results as indicators of the center. After being collected for three months, the data were analyzed and presented in percentage. 

Results:  Most of its financial supports from foreign funding (49.78% out of 52.75%) was used for developing the system of care which effectively met 4 target values of the patient care outcomes. While 38.71% out of 74.81% of KKU’s research funding was spent for undertaking and publishing research, its research articles were published in international journals with SciMago quartile 1, 2 and QS/ISI within these following numbers; 1, 6 and 85 respectively. As a foundation, most of its income (77.60%) was from donation whose major expenses (82.33%, about 2,091,668.57 baht) was spent for supporting patients/families with average 554 patients/year.

Conclusion: Tawanchai Center provides multidisciplinary care, treatment, surgery and rehabilitation through its foundation’s assistance to patients and their families. The findings as the care outcomes successfully met the target values ​​of 4 indicators through its integrated financial management and collaboration resulting in effective patient care producing research and academic results with national and international publications.
