The cross-sectional research aimed to analyze multi-level factors affecting household hazardous waste management in Phutthaisong district, Buriram province at household level and community level. The subjects were 558 households and 35 villages. Data was collected by using two interview forms for household leader, community leader and leader who took care of village waste management. The statistics used were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the two levels of multi-level factors analysis by null model, simple model, and hypothetical model. The results showed that 90.5% of the households had hazardous waste management at and appropriate suitable level, followed by fair and needed improvement levels (6.1% and 3.4%, respectively). At household level, factors significantly affected to household hazardous waste management were health literacy on hazardous waste management of household representatives (p=0.013) and lack of household waste storage area (p<0.001). Community-level factors statistically significant affected household waste management was the financial support for community waste management from local authorities (p = 0.038). The findings suggested that space management for placing bins and collecting hazardous waste in the household should be promoted, health literacy on proper hazardous waste management in household should be strengthened, and budget for organizing activities or projects for hazardous waste management in community should be supported.
