Keywords:
Success Factors, Project Management, Health promotion and environmental health projectsAbstract
This cross-sectional descriptive research aims to investigate internal and external factors influencing the success of project management in health promotion and environmental sanitation. The study also seeks to identify the factors contributing to project success, as well as the problems and obstacles encountered. The conceptual framework is based on McKinsey’s 7S Framework and the PEST Analysis model. Research instruments include both questionnaires and interview guides. The quantitative data will be collected from 120 people : project leaders, project managers, and project team members, while the qualitative data will be gathered from 15 project leaders. Data analysis will be conducted using descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and content analysis. The findings revealed that: (1) the overall success of project management was at the highest level (mean = 4.458, standard deviation = 0.679). Internal factors were also at the highest level (mean = 4.473, standard deviation = 0.636). Specifically, organizational structure, operational systems, staff skills, and shared organizational values significantly influenced project management success at the 0.05 level and collectively accounted for 93.1% of the variance in project success (R2adj = 0.931). External factors including political, sociocultural and technological aspects also significantly influenced project success at the 0.05 level and explained 93.9% of the variance (R2adj = 0.939). Major problems and obstacles identified included limitations in technology and data connectivity with partner networks. Therefore, to enhance project management efficiency, agencies should develop information technology and database systems alongside improvements in organizational structure and operational systems, develop staff competencies, promote shared organizational values, and continuously monitor and analyze external environmental factors to support effective planning and project implementation.
