Relationship between body mass index, waist-hip ratio with health laboratory in personel Phang-nga hospital
Abstract
Background : Body mass index and waist-hip ratio was the important caused of non- communicable disease
Objectives : Study the relationship between body mass index, waist-hip ratio with health laboratory in personel Phang-nga hospital.
Methodology : Retrospective study design in 226 personel Phang-nga hospital that had over 35 years old and check up health during March 1 to July 30, 2021. Analysing by using mean, median, standard deviation, student’s t-test, One-way ANOVA , pearson product moment correlation coefficient.
Results : Body mass index was positive moderate level related to FBS, triglyceride and positive low level to uric acid, SGPT and ALP statistic significantly. Waist-hip ratio was positive low level related to FBS, uric, triglyceride and SGPT statistic significantly.
Conclusions : Body mass index and waist-hip ratio in high level was related to high FBS, high triglyceride, high uric acid and reduce liver function then should be campaign to reduce carbohydrate and sugar ,exercise regularly for good health in the future.
