The aims of this research and development were to develop a nursing care model for pregnant women with premature labor, and determine the effectiveness of this model. Research process was divided in 3 steps. First step was situation analysis. Second step was to develop a model. A draft of model, then a pilot study was conducted with 25 pregnant women with premature labor pain. Third and final step was model testing with quasi experimental design. Sample were 86 pregnant women with premature labor pain. Research instrument was a nursing care model for pregnant women with premature labor. The tool used for data collection is a general data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, and One sample t-test statistics.
The results of the research found that 1) Nursing care model for pregnant women with preterm labor pain consisted of providing nursing care in the new reception room. Nursing care in the room for pregnant women with premature labor and monitoring while recuperating Professional nurses can use this nursing model 100 percent. 2) The results of the nursing model showed that 84.88% of pregnant women had a time to receive a preliminary diagnosis after initial admission, which took less than the target value of 30 minutes, with statistical significance at the p<.001 level. The time of receiving medication to inhibit uterine contractions after the doctor ordered treatment was found to be 83.72 percent, which took longer than the target value (15 minutes), with statistical significance at the p<.001 level, and it was found that 81.40 percent It can extend the pregnancy period by more than 48 hours, which is significantly higher than the target value at the p<.001 level. The developed nursing model for pregnant women with preterm labor is effective in reducing the first period. receive Helps prolong pregnancy and can reduce the time required to receive medication according to the treatment plan.
