Abstract

            Background : Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is a critical and emergency condition that requires urgent treatment. The aorta is the pipe that carries blood from the heart to nourish various organs throughout the body. If an aneurysm ruptures, it will be a major cause of death and a major public health problem in Thailand and around the world. Receiving an accurate diagnosis and providing accurate and appropriate medical care in urgent crises, including prompt referral, can reduce patient mortality.

            Objectives : To study and compare patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm in two case studies regarding causes, pathology, signs and symptoms. medical treatment accurate and fast forwarding It will help reduce the death rate and complications.

            Method : A specific case study of two patients conducted between September 2023 – October 2023

            Results Conclusion : From a study of two patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms, it was found that the first case was a Thai male patient, aged 80 years, 2 days before coming to the hospital. There is abdominal pain in the center of the umbilical. There is no crack anywhere. There is no pain or numbness or weakness in the arms. No vomiting. Today abdominal pain is worse. He went to the clinic for treatment. The doctor advised me to go to a community hospital. Relatives take the patient to be treated at the hospital. A lump in the abdomen was found to be larger than before, having grown from 5 cm. previously detected in 2022, increasing in size to 5.9 cm. It was necessary to urgently be sent for treatment to Roi Et Hospital by the nurse. Doctors diagnosis abdominal aortic aneurysm and had surgery to Coved Endovascular Reconstruction  of Aortic Bifurcation (CERAB) Symptoms improved. The patient was hospitalized for 10 days. The second patient was Thai man, 85 years old, while eating rice complained of abdominal pain and lethargy 1 hour before coming to Suwunnaphum Hospital. Doctors diagnosis him with an abdominal aortic aneurysm and shock. Therefore, he was urgently sent for further treatment at Roi Et Hospital by a team of nursing staff and performed surgery by inserting an artificial blood vessel through a catheter (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair). After surgery, the patient's symptoms deteriorated. The relative therefore refused treatment and brought the patient home after 11 days of treatment at Roi Et Hospital.
