Abstract

Abstract

Background: During SARS-Coronavirus disease 2019 situation, Udonthani hospital is aware of safety and convenience of patients. Therefore, we provide long-distant medication delivery service and evaluate the compliance. Previous surveys indicate that 96.36 percent of patience understand about the medication usage. However, this number does not indicate compliance of those who received it. Hence, we started to assess compliance of those patients between 1-31 July 2563 to ensure that patients understand and have a better compliance in the medication.

Objective: To evaluate out-patients’ compliance receiving medication through post office.

Methods: Prospective descriptive study including 101 out-patients from 27 clinics. (Survey via phone).

Results: Compliance of patients in each department are as the following. Regular clinic: middle level 68.8%, HIV clinic: middle level 100%, Special clinic including DM, Asthma, COPD: High level 42.8% which are 30.4 % higher than high that of regular clinic.

Conclusions: Compliance of patients who received long-distant medication delivery via post office are below KPI level. However, we could not assume that this method of delivery is ineffective. We suggest further comparative study with patients who receives medication at the hospital.
