บทคัดย่อ

Abstract

           The purpose of this descriptive research was to study knowledge and practice before and after receiving health education in preparation before and after surgery. The sample group was Patients undergoing surgery at the General Surgery Department, Sawang dandin Crown Prince Hospital Sakon Nakhon Province, 32 people with qualifications according to the specified inclusion criteria. The sample group will be given health education in preparation. by assessing the level of knowledge and practice before teaching learning evaluation by using a comprehensive knowledge brochure Preparation before and for surgery behavior condition after surgery recovery after surgery appointment check with clear illustrations and explanations the data collection tools were the Knowledge Assessment Form and the Practice Assessment Form of patients undergoing surgery. before and after receiving health education Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and paired t test.

           The results of the study showed that 1) the sample group had the level of knowledge before receiving health education in preparation before and after surgery. They were at good level, 56.3% and moderate level, 43.7%, and had a level of knowledge after receiving health education in preparation before and after surgery. in good level 100% After receiving health education in preparation before and after surgery the sample group had higher knowledge scores than before. with statistical significance at the .05 level (p<.001) 2) Most of the samples were able to perform properly during hospital stay at 96.9 percent and were unable to perform properly regarding coughing, breathing and sit up 3.1% 3) The sample group was correct after discharge from the hospital, 78.1% and was unable to behave properly in relation to 15.6 percent of scheduled appointments to return to the doctor, and 6.3 percent of them were unsure about the need to see a doctor for unusual symptoms.

           Health education in pre and postoperative patients Increased level of knowledge about self-care and self-care practices It is also useful for future studies. as well as being able to develop a form of health education to be up-to-date and to meet the needs of patients in the future and more interesting, such as video media, LINE, to be used to educate patients to create more efficient and modern health education results.
