Occupational Health Hazards in Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University

Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive study was to find out the health hazards in faculty of medicine Thammasat university. The population was 22 departments in faculty. The research instrument used in collecting the data were a survey of health hazards questionnaire in faculty of medicine Thammasat university. The statistical methods used for data analysis include frequency and percentage. The result of survey revealed that the majority of health hazard in faculty of medicine Thammasat university was physical hazard (86.36%), followed by chemical hazards (81.82%). The third place, biomechanical hazards had less than chemical hazards approximately 10%. The remaining, biological hazards and psychosocial hazards were similar (50%). Base on the major findings, it was recommended that physical hazards included confined space, heat, water leakage and low light should be improved.
