Consumer Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviors in Changwat Sing Buri

The important role of Provincial Public Health Office, is developing the potential of consumer to the full extent. The objective of this survey research was to assess information on consumerีs knowledge attitude and behavior in order to develop relevant guidelines and policies. In all, 302 people were interviewed by health workers using questionnaires in all levels of the public health facilities, in January 2008.
The results showed that 31.00 percent of the subjects livied in urban area, 56.00 percent of the subjects were female, aged 37 years (SD = 12.6) on average and married (51.30%). The overall attitudes of consumers were not satisfied with consumer protection. In term of the knowledge of people in health consumer protection it was classified as at a good level with an average score of 88.32 (S.D.=3.2805). For the right behaviors of consumption of people, it was revealed that consumers had limited right behavior with score of 2.05 (56.00%) which required improvements.
