Abstract

A Retrospective Analytic Study aims to study the mortality rate and factors Associated with Deaths due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 patients, Nonthaburi Province. The sample group was patients diagnosed with Coronavirus 2019, regardless of age, residing in Nonthaburi province. Between January 1, 2022 – August 31, 2022, there were 363 patients divided into 87 dead patients and 276 non-dead patients. The study was conducted from the patient’s medical records according to the personal data record form. Disease prevention Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression analysis, presented Adjusted odds ratio and confidence intervals of 95% CI.

The study results found that factors associated with Deaths due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 patients the statistically significant (p< .001) were age 60 years and over (OR 10.45, 95% CI 5.98 – 18.26) had underlying disease (OR 8.61, 95% CI 4.83 – 15.35), diabetes (OR .23, 95% CI .08 – .62), diabetes and hypertension (OR .24, 95%. CI .13 – .46) Cerebrovascular disease (OR .10, 95% CI .01 – .51) Chronic renal failure (OR .08, 95% CI .02 – .41) Smoking (OR .16, 95% CI .07 - . 38) Alcohol consumption (OR .28, 95% CI .14 - .55), vaccination (OR .17, 95% CI .10 - .29) and symptom severity (OR 95.30, 95% CI 39.43). – 230.32), but no factor correlated with Mortality among sex, risk factors, body mass index, hypertension chronic, obstructive pulmonary disease, Cardiovascular disease, hyperlipidemia and cancer.

Patients with Coronavirus 2019 with the risk factors for mortality identified in this study needed to be cared for according to the following systematic Coronavirus 2019 care guidelines: rating system Standard risk surveillance, follow-up and prompt treatment to reduce complications and reduce mortality in patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019, as well as promote a new lifestyle (New Normal) to prevent further infection For at-risk groups, there should be comprehensive and proactive vaccination acceleration measures.
