The Relationship between Work Motivation and Performance Competency of Personnelfor Developing Organization to be Quality

This descriptive and cross-sectional research aimed to study the level of work motivation and the level of Performance Competency of personnel in The Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health, and to study the correlation between work motivation and Performance Competency of personnel in The Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health. The sample size selected by simple random sampling yielded nseveral8 people. The study tool was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using a computer program to determine the frequency, mean, Standard, and deviation, and the correlation coefficient was analyzed using Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
The result showed that most of the respondents were female, 51.90% (139 people), The average age was 39.77 years old, education in Bachelor's degree 67.90% (182 people), the working period in The Department of Health Service Support less than 5 years at most 52.60%
(141 people), the level of work motivation was in a hath level ( = 3.95, SD = 0.61), and the level of Performance Competency wanting a high level ( = 4.31, SD = 0.54).
The result of the correlation between work motivation and Performance Competency showed that work motivation was positively correlated with Performance Competency with statistical significance at the 0.01 level (r = 0.65**).
Therefore, the development of the organization to quality is the main organization in the management of the health service system, public health system, and consumer protection which is necessary to be driven by highly competent personnel by supporting and increasing the motivation to work because personnel is the main force that is important
in driving the organization to achieve its vision.
