THE FACTORS PREDICTING BODY MASS INDEX OVER THE NORMAL RANGE OF STAFF IN HOSPITAL
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the factors predicting Body Mass Index over the normal range of staff in Hospital. The sample group for the research was 302 staffs in Buddhachinaraj Hospital who responded the Happinometer assessment for Ministry of Public Health staff and were Body Mass Index (BMI) as equal or more than 23. This research is Retrospective Descriptive Study used database from the Happinometer assessment for Ministry of Public Health staff, 2022. The data were descriptive analyzed by using frequency, percentage and the factors predicting analyzed of Body Mass Index over the normal range of staff in Hospital with Multiple Regression Analysis.
The results showed that Age, Status, Eating breakfast, Exercise, Smoking, and Life is as expected were factors predicting Body Mass Index over the normal range of staff in Hospital with statistically significant level of 0.01 and 0.05. The factor of Age increased 1 unit will effect Body Mass Index (BMI) increased 0.126 unit, Status increased 1 unit will effect Body Mass Index (BMI) increased 0.068 unit, Eating breakfast increased 1 unit will effect Body Mass Index (BMI) increased 0.094 unit, Smoking increased 1 unit will effect Body Mass Index (BMI) increased 0.155 unit, and Life is as expected increased 1 unit will effect Body Mass Index (BMI) increased 0.096 unit, whereas Exercise increased 1 unit will effect Body Mass Index (BMI) decreased 0.155 unit.
