21ST - CENTURY LEARNING SKILLS AND SOCIAL SUPPORT PREDICTING WORK LIFE INTEGRATION AMONG VILLAGE HEALTH VOLUNTEERS IN ROI ET PROVINCE.

Abstract

This study employed a cross - sectional descriptive research design with the objective of assessing the levels 21st - century learning skills and social support and analyzing factors influencing work – life integration among Village Health Volunteers in Roi Et Province. The sample consisted of 616 Village Health Volunteers actively working in Roi Et Province. Data were collected using a questionnaire, the content validity of which was assessed by experts. Of the 100 items, the Index of Item - Objective Congruence (IOC) was 0.67 for 45 items (45.00%) and 1.00 for 55 items (55.00%), and the reliability coefficient of the instrument was 0.988. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, namely Pearson's product - moment correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The results revealed that the overall levels of 21st - century learning skills, social support, and work - life integration among the Village Health Volunteers were at a high level (x̄ = 3.92, S.D. = 0.65; x̄ = 3.98, S.D. = 0.57; x̄ = 4.06, S.D. = 0.55, respectively). The variables that predicted work – life integration were social support from peers, media, community and society, and government agencies, as well as 21st - century learning skills in the areas of career skills and self - directed learning, teamwork and leadership, and critical thinking and problem-solving. Together, these variables jointly explained 79.10% of the variance in work – life integration (R²adj. = 0.79, p < 0.001). Public health agencies should prioritize the development of 21st-century learning skills together with the concrete strengthening of social support systems, in order to enhance Village Health Volunteers' ability to appropriately integrate their work roles with their personal lives, thereby leading to efficient and sustainable community health work in the long term.
