Abstract

The purposes of this correlation research were to: 1) study social support of nursing students, 2) study life skills of nursing students, 3) explore the relationship between social support and life skills of the nursing students. The Samples were 358 nursing students at Boromarajonani College of Nursing,Trang in the 2017 academic year. The instruments to collect data were one set of questionnaire social support and life skills. Reliability of the questionnaire was examined using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient yielding values of .76 and .91, respectively. Data were analyzed using mean test, percentage calculation, standard deviation, and statistical hypothesis testing base on Pearson’s Product Moment corralation coefficient of Social Support and Life Skills The results of this study revealed as follows:

1. The mean total scores of the social support among the nursing students were at a moderate level (Mean = 3.12, S.D. = .25).

2. The mean total scores of the life skills among the nursing students were at a moderate level (Mean = 4.07, S.D. = .43).

3. The social support was significantly correlated with the life skills (r = .613 p < .01)
