DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH STRATEGIC IN LOPBURI

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to development of health strategic in Lopburi. The three stages used in this research were investigate the problem of health strategy management in Lopburi province in 2016 development and to evaluate the strategic management in 2017 for three aspects : health strategic planning, Implementation and evaluation of Health for the development of processing effectively for the next year. The set of questionnaires , interview and participatory observation were using to collect information. The research indicated that

(1.) Health Strategy 2016 is consistent and responsive to the Ministry of Public Health policy, but not in line with the problem of the area. Strategic plans do not clear direction and lack of continuous M&E. (2.) Health strategy plan of 2017 was analyzed from data of all dimensions and levels to prioritize the health problems for development and to integrated for reducing duplication of work ,moreover having M&E that variety formats and all of areas. (3.) The provincial strategy responds to the problems and context of the area, and consistent with the national plan for public health, provincial plan from vision, strategy, tactic, core activities to action plan but focusing on the indicators rather than the performance evaluation of the strategic and problems of the area.

The effective strategic management should not to focus only the planning process, it should be considered as an important at all stages of planning, cascading, implementation and persistant M&E. These crucial processes together with suitable budgets will make the strategic management to be completed effectiveness according to the goal.
