Abstract

Abstract

This quantitative research aimed to develop a tool to measure the work life quality of Thai traditional medicine practitioners in state hospitals within Health Region 7. The study population consisted of 274 Thai traditional medicine practitioners working in state hospitals in Health Region 7 under the Ministry of Public Health and local administrative organizations. A sample size of 274 participants was calculated by multiplying five times the number of parameters. Data were collected using a questionnaire (Google Form) from 274 samples between November and December 2024, yielding 250 completed questionnaires (a response rate of 91.24%). The data were then analyzed for content validity using the Index of Item Objective Congruence (IOC) and Content Validity Index (CVI), structural validity through factor analysis, and reliability. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze general data. Inferential statistics using One-way ANOVA were employed to compare the mean quality of life scores
Results The work life quality measurement tool for Thai traditional medicine practitioners in state hospitals within Health Region 7 consists of 37 items. The tool's suitability index values were as follows: Chi-square (χ²) = 1.115, Goodness-of-fit index (GFI) = 0.900, Adjusted goodness-of-fit index (AGFI) = 0.847, Comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.993, Standardized root mean squared residual (SRMR) = 0.041, Root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) = 0.022, and Normed Fit Index (NFI) = 0.937. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.966, and the corrected item-total correlation for each item was between 0.447 and 0.790, all above 0.30.
