Abstract

The objective of this cross-sectional research study was to examine health literacy, participation in the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 and transformations leadership of village health volunteers in Phayao province. The sample group comprised 390 village health volunteers from Phayao province. Data was collected using questionnaires, analyzed statistically with percentages, means, standard deviations, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The research findings indicate that the village health volunteers have a good level of health literacy. Their participation in the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 and their transformations leadership are at a moderate level. There is a positive correlation between health literacy and participation in the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 with transformations leadership among village health volunteers, which is statistically significant at the .05 level. This suggests the crucial necessity for village health volunteers to develop their health literacy and participation in the prevention of coronavirus disease 2019 to foster transformations leadership.
