Abstract

ABSTRACT

           The objectives of this research were 1) To study the efficiency of work of public health officers in Mahasarakham Province 2) To study the factors influencing the efficiency of public health officers in Mahasarakham Province 3) To create a model for improving the efficiency of public health officers in the Mahasarakham province. The sample consisted of 377 public health workers in Mahasarakham Province. The instrument was a five - point - rating scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, mean, percentage, standard deviation. The causal relationship structure model was analyzed using the Mplus program. The target group provided key information, namely administrators, academics, and support, totaling 10 people. Using content analysis and descriptive discussions.

           The results of the research were as follows: 1) Performance level of public health officers in Mahasarakham Province was a high level. 2) Factors Influencing the Performance of Public Health Officers in Mahasarakham Province were as follow : Promotion policies from the government, Transformational leadership, Public participation, Teamwork, Network at work and achievement motivation. These 6 factors could explain the variation in performance efficiency of public health officials in Mahasarakham Province by 50.40 percent (R2 = 0.504) with statistical significance at the .05 level. The correlation model for improving the efficiency of work of public health officials in Mahasarakham Province is consistent with the empirical data. χ2 test p-value = 0.560, χ2 / df = 1.408, GFI = 0.999, CFI = 0.997, RMSEA = 0.036, RMR = 0.006 and 3) Model for improving the efficiency of work of public health officials in Mahasarakham Province consists of 6 development approaches as follows : 1) Promotion policies from the government development, 2) Transformational leadership development, 3) Public participation development 4) Teamwork development, 5) Network at work development and 6) Achievement motivation development.
