Motivation Influencing the Efficiency of the Performance of Chum Phae Hospital Officers Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

                                                                                                               ABSTRACT

           This descriptive research aimed 1) to study the motivation of the government officers in Chum Phae Hospital 2) to analyze the job performance efficiency of the government officers in Chum Phae Hospital and 3) to explore the motivation affecting the job performance efficiency of the government officers in Chum Phae Hospital. The sample consisted of 229 government officers, including six types of personnel working in Chum Phae Hospital: civil servants, permanent employees, government employees, Ministry of Public Health employees, temporary workers, and temporary (daily) workers. The research instruments were questionnaires, with three parts: personal information, working motivation, and job performance efficiency. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were as follows:

            1. The motivation for performance in aspects of the overall scores of incentive and support factors were at high level. The highest incentive motivation scores were job description, job success, responsibility, respect, and job progress. Meanwhile, the highest supporting factors were occupational status, relationship with colleagues, job supervision, governing and commanding, relationship with supervisors equated to work security, policy and administration, and work environment, respectively.
            2. The overall score of the job performance efficiency level was at a high level. Considering each aspect, the highest were cost, time, and work process equated to the amount of work and work quality.
            3. The motivation in aspects of incentive and support factors had correlation with the job performance efficiency with the multiple correlation coefficients at .733. This shows that the predictors could together explain the variation in the job performance efficiency 53.7 percent (R2 = 0.537)
