Abstract

Abstract

            Background : Procurement under the Government Procurement and Supplies Administration Act 2017 with a specific method will lose market competition. The researcher therefore studied the results of drug procurement using a specific method in conjunction with the drug price investigation in Chaiyaphum Hospital.

            Objective : To study the results of pharmaceutical procurement using the specific method with drug price investigation (new method) in the fiscal year 2022, 2023 compared with the specific method without drug price investigation (old method) in the fiscal year 2022 (according to the 2022 procurement plan) to be a guideline for the procurement of drugs by a specific method for pharmaceutical companies for Chaiyaphum Hospital. and other hospitals.

            Method : Comparison of purchasing value by the new method in 2022 and 2023 with purchasing by the old method in the fiscal year 2022

            Result : The value of drug procurement by the new method in 2022 and 2023 decreased from the old method by 1,326,091.87 baht (7.06%) and 1,444,322.35 baht (7.69%) respectively. Purchasing with multiple suppliers with a new method in 2022 and 2023 can be reduced by 1,219,159.47 baht (8.71%) and 1,342,827.87 baht (9.60%) respectively. As for procurement from a single supplier with the new method in 2022 and 2023, it can be reduced by 106,932.40 baht (2.23%) and 101,504.48 baht (2.11%) respectively.

            Conclusion : The new method of procurement can significantly reduce the procurement value (P< 0.05) compared to the old method, especially for drug lists with more than two suppliers.
