Abstract

           The purpose of this research was to study the relationship with staff participation of personnel in quality development of the Queen Sirikit Heart Center in the Northeast (QSHC). Cross-sectional analytic study was conducted by using questionnaires. The sample consisted of 265 personnel working at the Queen Sirikit Heart Center in the Northeast, who were chosen through the stratified random sampling method. Pearson’s correlation were used for quantitative data analyses. For qualitative data, content analysis was used. The research findings indicated four factors positively staff participation and a factors negatively affecting staff participation in hospital quality improvement. The positive factors included Knowledge of quality improvement (p≤0.001) and age, status and duration of worked (p≤0.05), while the negative factor was job description (p≤0.05). Explain the relationship of personnel participation in quality development of the Sirikit Heart Center at 45.9%. The guidelines for personnel participation are as follows: Training to improve knowledge and skills for quality development, including motivation for job responsibilities and progress in positions. Support operational security for personnel, both government officials and employees.
