Double Phototherapy by Handmade Bilibed, Chaoprayayomaraj Hospital, Suphan Buri

Abstract

The writer had invented a bilibed combining with conventional to double phototherapy.  This will provide hyperbilirubinemia newborns with more irradiance, more contact surface area and rapid recovery than conventional phototherapy.  Using Double phototherapy will decrease rate of blood exchange transfusion- the treatment for severe hyperbilirubinemia in newborns.  This bilibed can be easily assembled and less costly than a commercial one.
