Assessment of Model on Changing Health Behavior Development in Metabolic Syndrome Risk Group, Kalasin Province

Abstract

      This research was quasi-experiment research aiming at assessing a model on changing health behavior development in metabolic syndrome risk group. Samples were 36 health officers at district and tambon levels and 40 persons with metabolic risks. A questionnaire was and presented in terms of to collect data for group process synthesis of health behavior model. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and percentage. After the implementation of the changing health behavior development model, the risk group had higher mean score on knowledge on metabolic disease and practice from 59.8 to 82.1 percent. Efficiencies index of changing health behavior model was 0.2479. Overall and individual practice perspectives of the metabolic risk group of both before and after the implementation of the model were at medium level. However, some individual practice perspectives after the implementation of the model were higher. Those perspectives included sanitary aspect and health self-aspect. Mean of overall perspectives and practice of risk group after changing health behavior increased. Satisfaction and opinions concerning levels on changing health behavior model were both at high level both from group and individual perspectives.
