Factors Relating to Burnout of Laboratory Staffers at Regional and General Hospitals in Changwat Trang, Satun, Phatthalung, Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thammarat-ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความเหนื่อยหน่ายในการทำงานของบุคลากรทางห้องปฏิบัติการโรงพยาบาลศูนย์ โรงพยาบาลทั่วไป ในเขตจังหวัดตรัง สตูล พัทลุง สงขลา และนครศรีธรรมราช

บทคัดย่อ

        The purposes of this descriptive research were to study burnout levels and factors relating to burnout of laboratory staffers conducting their work at the regional and the general hospital in Changwat Trang, Satun, Phatthalung, Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thamamrat during March - August 2007.   The samples were 130 laboratory staffers composing of the medical technologists, the medical scientists, the medical laboratory assistants and the laboratory assistants, selected by simple random sampling technique.   The data were collected through a set of questionnaire developed by the researcher from Maslach Burnout Inventory in 1986.   It was validated and tested for reliability reporting Cronbach alpha coefficient of 0.88.   The results showed that the laboratory staffers at the regional and the general hospitals in Changwat Trang, Satun, Phatthalung, Songkhla and Nakhon Si Thammarat were burnout while working at a medium level of the emotional exhaustion, the low level of depersonalization and a high level of the decreasing sense of personal accomplishment.   Relating to working factors, job description was positively correlated to burnout, emotion exhaustion and the depersonalization.   The working factors which was advancement was positively correlated to burnout on the emotion exhaustion.   The environmental working factor which was interpersonal relation was positively correlated to burnout on the emotion exhaustion and the depersonalization.   The administrative factors which were working evaluation was positively correlated to burnout on the emotion exhaustion and depersonalization.   The second which was administrative was positively correlated to burnout on the depersonalization and leader behavior was positively correlated to burnout on the decreasing sense of personal accomplishment.  Laboratory staffers, and administrators should realize the importance of working as well as problems on burnout in order to overcome various negative imputs relating to work, environment and administration.
