A DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH PROMOTION MODEL FOR AGING IN CHACHOENGSAO PROVINCE

Abstract

This research and development study aimed to 1) Identify the problems and needs of Health Promotion for Aging in Chachoengsao Province 2) study the factors relate to health promotion for Aging 3) development of health promotion model for Aging 4) Examine the effectiveness of the health promotion model for Aging.The sample was divided according tothe study phases 1)The sample group, phase 1) Qualitative research process. Data were collected Focus Group Discussion process. The informant, the researcher selected purposive sampling, were 12 elderly people. 2) Quantitative research process,375elderly peoplecollected datausing questionnaires.3) Qualitativeresearch process. Use the Focused Group Discussion process to return information. Develop conclusions of concrete, actionable models. Selected a specific method, 12 people 4) Evaluated the use of the model using a quasi-experimental research method. The experiment was conducted according to a one-group pretest-posttest design, 30 people.

The results of the Phase 1) study revealed that health promotion operations were not concrete, discontinuous, and did not cover the health promotion dimension. There is a need for physical, mental and social well-being. 2) found that social support How totravel toreceive medical services self-esteem position in society, congenital disease (lipids in the blood), knowledge of the elderly obtaining information,underlying disease(heart disease), marital statusand community participationIt isassociated with the health promotion of the elderly. 3) found that the health promotion model for the elderly was health status assessment. Providing knowledge by empowering and exchanging knowledge. The implementation of health promotion to cover the body, mind and society continuously. 4) found that after using the model, the elderly had better knowledge and health promotion than before using the model at a statistical significance level of 0.05. Ministry of Public Health or local government The community should be involved in promoting the health of the elderly will be continuity and sustainability in the community
