Research on the effectiveness of improving the quality of life of the elderly according to the guidelines for long-term care of the elderly in Trat Province. This research is a mixed research, It consists of quantitative research. To study the quality of life of the elderly and qualitative research to study the effectiveness or achievements in improving the quality of life for the elderly. After the implementation of long-term care guidelines for the elderly in areas where operations are  guidelines for long-term care of the elderly of Trat Province. The quantitative study process consisted of document research to collect data, document studies on the quality of life of the elderly in a sample of 420 people, and a qualitative study by workshops to extract lessons about the success of the quantitative study. Operate according to guidelines for long-term care of the elderly in the management group public health and local government executives group with the director of the Tambon Health Promoting Hospital Staff in charge of long-term care for the elderly at the public health department and local administrative organizations, community leaders and volunteers, totaling 170 people. The results showed that the quality of life of the elderly after  in the study area after the implementation of the long-term care guidelines for the elderly better than before it was implemented  According to the guidelines for long-term care of the elderly of Trat Province The effectiveness or success of improving the quality of life of the elderly after the implementation of the long-term care guidelines for the elderly of Trat Province. It was concluded that the policy of caring for the elderly and the promotion/support of the community to participate in the implementation of the elderly health promotion seriously and continuously  to provide comprehensive health promotion activities  promote the health of the elderly in the area seriously and continuously to provide health promotion activities to cover all areas especially health promotion knowledge such as proper exercise eating and taking care of teeth will help encourage the elderly, Able to take care of himself properly It will reduce the risk of disease, reduce the health problems of the elderly  and resulting in the elderly having a good quality of life in the future.
