Abstract
A study to develop a training curriculum for prison health volunteers (PHV) in the “GOOD HEALTH GOOD HEART” project, with continuous operations for 3 years between 2019 - 2021, with the objectives: 1) Study the context and organize Conduct a training course for PHV, 2) evaluate the training curriculum for PHV, and 3) develop a training curriculum for PHV. The Department of Health Service Support is the main leader in creating the prototype training curriculum. and related agencies will use it to develop for PHV trainers and train for PHV in prisons throughout the country. Work together to monitor, supervise, evaluate, and develop the curriculum appropriately. Including developing a team, analyzing policies and goals according to the role and mission of the organization, reviewing literature, determining operational methods, creating training courses, participating in training according to the curriculum, integrating operations, following up, supervising work, supervising and evaluating results, developing innovations, solving obstacles, making recommendations, and reporting performance results. Using both quantitative and qualitative study methods.
The results of the study found that the operation Consistent with the role and mission of the Department of Health Service Support Public participation that aims to develop and promote health behavior in the public sector and network partners To be able to take care of your own health and take part in managing the health system By taking the lead in coordinating with the Academic Department Under the Ministry of Public Health, Department of Corrections and related agencies. Prepare a prototype set of teaching materials according to the training curriculum for PHV in the “GOOD HEALTH GOOD HEART” project. These include 1) a handbook for PHV trainers, 2) a PHV training course, 3) a set of PHV teaching media, and 4) a PHV training video to support the Department of Corrections. and related agencies Used to develop PHV and train PHV in 143 prisons nationwide. In addition, it is set as an indicator for the Ministry of Public Health inspection for the year 2021. There is monitoring, supervision, and evaluation, covering 132 prisons in 12 health zones under the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Health. It was found that there is a proportion of PHV to prisoners according to the criteria (not less More than 1 : 50), a total of 129 places, accounting for 97.73 percent.
Precautions: coordination with network partners, prison regulations and limitations, specific characteristics according to each prison context, supervision, monitoring, supervision and evaluation systems for separate departments.
