Abstract

Background:  Appropriate pain management in postoperative patients Can confirm good results Requires clinical guidelines By developing from empirical evidence And has confirmed the desired results  

Objective:        To develop and study outcome of Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline for Pain Management of Postoperative Patients at male surgical ward in Phrae Hospital

Study design:  Operational research. This study follow the framework of the national health and medical research council. A purposive sample of 8 nursing team were selected todevelop CPGs.  The samples used in the study of the results of the clinical practice consist of 2 groups which are 1) Nursing Professionals who work at the wards are treated in a male surgical ward of a total of 16 people 2) Patients in the male surgery ward. Phrae Hospital From December 2019 to June 2020, a total of 60 people during implementation of this guideline. The instruments used in this study consist of clinical practice guideline for postoperative pain management. Male surgery ward Surgical Nursing Division Phrae Hospital And the results collection form for pain management in postoperative patients were: Providing pain management information before surgery Pain level assessment drug and non-drug Pain Management And re-evaluation. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and exact probability test.

Result:             It was found that the clinical practice guideline for pain management of postoperative patients. Male surgery ward Surgical Nursing Division Phrae Hospital It was practical to care for 87.5% of patients, 87.25% of the practitioners were satisfied. All of the indicators were suitable for pain management after surgery. Obtained 96.67% of preoperative pain management data, p-value < 0.001. And received 100% pain management p-value <0.001

Conclusions:   Results of this study were supported that the developed clinical practice guidelines improve the quality of nursing care. can be used among patients undergoing surgery
