Abstract

This qualitative research. The purpose of this study was to study the situation of child mortality under 5 years ago, to analyze the conversion of Thailand's policy to reduce child mortality under 5 years into practice. Including the development of additional operations to reduce the death of children under 5 years of age in order to make further policy recommendations. The source of information in this study was based on a review of relevant literature and research. and then categorized by purpose. As for the tools used from the review of relevant documents and research, they were used to create guidelines for relevant issues in line with each objective in presenting the study results in each section. using the Integrated Model The results of the study showed that I) The situation of death of children under 5 years ago, before 2014, it was found that most of the deaths of children under 5 years old were not different, and the most common cause of infant mortality is lack of oxygen during childbirth, followed by premature birth. II) The process of implementing the policy to reduce the mortality of children under 5 years in Thailand during the years 2014-2021, it was found that the Department of Health is the main agency and other agencies. Participate in pushing for the policy to reduce the death of children under 5 years of age. The policy has been communicated to responsible agencies and staff at all levels to acknowledge and accept the policy. and transform the policy into a plan to reduce the mortality of children under 5 years old. There must be an environment conducive to operations and personnel must be ready in all aspects. In addition, there must be external agencies and communities to continuously participate in solving the problem of deaths of children under 5 years of age. From the performance during 2014-2021, it was found that the mortality rate of children under 5 years old decreased from 8.8 in 2014 to 7.0 per thousand live births. Neonatal deaths decreased from 3.7 in 2014 to 3.0 per thousand live births, and III) the development and the situation of supplementary operations to reduce the deaths of children under 5 years old were found to be raised. The same level as the guidelines for developing a service system for reducing the mortality of children under 5 years of age and enhancing the improvement of the survey and diagnosis of maternal mortality that affects the mortality of children under 5 years of age. Policy recommendations government by the Ministry of Health There should be a policy to reduce the deaths of children aged 5 years, making it clear. Assign relevant agencies to take responsibility for pushing forward to achieve goals comparable to developed countries. and practical suggestions Ministry of Public Health Relevant agencies should be appointed to be responsible for creating a database of child mortality under 5 years of age and diagnosing maternal mortality that affects mortality of children under 5 years of age with financial support, earnestly and continuously.
