THE SYNTHESIS OF ORAL HEALTH PROMOTION MANAGEMENT IN CHILD 0-2 YEARS OLD IN CHONBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research and development, the objectives were to synthesize a dental health promotion model for children 0-2 years old, Chonburi Province, divided into 3 phases: Phase I: to analyze the situation of dental health promotion; Phase II: to synthesize a dental health promotion model; and Phase III: to evaluate the dental health promotion model. The sample used in this study were 140 health workers and 398 child caregivers by purposive sampling. collect data through surveys, in-depth interview group discussions, and according to the CIPP Model. Data were analyzed statistics using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The research results were as follows: I. The situation of dental health promotion found that there was clear policy communication but a lack of public policy-drivenness, the efficient knowledge management. The service system has been adjusted to the situation of the COVID-19 outbreak, and the incidence of dental caries in children remains stable. II. The form of dental health promotion consists of the following: I) Establish a clear policy and direction. II) Strengthen operations at the district level as a model area. III) Use information and knowledge bases for efficient management. IV) Develop service processes in line with standards and the situation of the COVID-19. V) Promote self-management health literacy through social measures. and public policy, and VI) strengthen incentives for personnel and networks. III. Promotion of dental health found that: I) Context, a format suitable for the area, II) Input, the executives set the direction. and a clear policy, III)  Process, suitable for project design, activities, and self-management skills development in conjunction with using digital media, but this still does not reflect the concrete process, and IV) Output, Service units that pass the criteria increase. The operation covers a wide range of target groups, the personnel are very satisfied with the layout. The rate of dental caries in children tends to decrease.
