The aim of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness of behavioral management enhancing program on managing problematic behavioral capability among caregivers of ADHD child. Samples of the study consist of 70 caregivers who had child with ADHD diagnosis and attended child and adolescence clinic. The subjects were divided into two groups: control and experimental groups. Forty caregivers participating in the control group received nursing care as usual whilst thirty caregivers in the experiment group participated in behavioral management enhancing program. The research instruments were developed by the researchers based on the self-care theory. The behavioral problematic enhancing program covering ADHD child behavioral problems and the caregivers managing problematic behavioral capability questionnaires were used as instruments in this study. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics for demographic data and t-test using for ADHD caregiver capability. The result revealed that after implementing the behavioral management enhancing program, the capability scores among ADHD child caregivers increased significantly (p<0.001). The score of the experimentation group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Similarly, the post capability scores of the caregivers were significantly higher after participating the program. Thus, program focusing on behavioral management in the ADHD child caregivers was suggested. In addition, nursing service system enhancing individual abilities to gain more skill was highly recommended.
