Abstract

Social determinants of health studies were derived from the discovering of health disparities among different social groups. With the concept of social determinants of health, there have been extended of the studies to manage health inequity problems in many regions around the world. This article has reviewed the literatures of social determinants of health in regarding to the related concepts, the uses in health promotion and examples of approaches to health inequity.
