Applying Medical Sciences Knowledge for Commercialization to Support Thailand 4.0

"Thailand 4.0" is a vision of Thailand's economic development, focusing on driving the economy with innovation to increase the quality and efficiency of domestically manufactured products which can compete with the world. Medical and biotechnology innovations have been developed to be highly competitive. This will result in the development of a country to achieve the goals of security, prosperity and sustainability. This article aims to present the successful concepts and procedure of the Department of Medical Sciences, Thailand, in the transfer of medical sciences knowledge to commercialization. The innovations from research can be produced as test kits and usable products, which will reduce the import of test kits and products from abroad. These will be distributed by government and private sectors. Test Kit Center was established with in the Department of Medical Sciences to manage the innovation to commercialization providing systematic management, test kit evaluation, standard systems and intellectual property management. This facility enables the researchers to transfer technology into implementation and commer-cialization. These make good economic income in accordance with "Thailand 4.0" vision.
