Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the satisfaction of patients and nurse personnel on services of three units of the Out-Patients Department in Petchaboon hospital. These included registration unit, examination unit and pharmacy unit. The study samples were one-hundred and fifty new patients attending Out-Patient Department during December 1989 - January 1990, and nine nurse personnel. The researcher collected data by conducting interview using a questionnaire. The frequency, mean and standard deviation were calculated. The result showed the similar level of satisfaction of both patients and nurse personnel. Moderate satisfaction on out-patients services was similarly observed in the examination unit, registration unit and pharmacy unit. It was found that the satisfaction was at low level due to long waiting time. The results of this study were useful for the researcher to improve services of the Out-Patient Department, especially on human relationship, provision of information, reduce waiting time and increase use of effective medical instruments.
