Success in Longterm Care of Elderly Model in Phone Thong Sub-District, Mueang District, Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research was conducted in order to find the results and factors of the success in longterm care of elderly supported byPhon TongSub-district. The research is done through qualitative method and the total 27 samples are selected through specific method. Tools used in this research are group discussion and deep interview through the questionnaires created by the researchers with verification made by specialists. The data gained are then analyzed from the contents gained from the group discussion and deep interview. It has been found that there are 4 aspects of the results for long-term elderly care in the community which are (1) Development of qualitative the Elderly Club. (2) The use of folk wisdom in elderly health care (3) Volunteer care for the elderly. (4) being the learning resource for long-term elder care. However, the factors in success of performing the project are herewith-: (1) the social assets and spending the social assets in long-term elderly health care in the community; (2) strong community; (3) elderly leaders in the community; (4) consecutive activities for promoting elderly health care and nursing with good mind; (5) family and community support given for the elderly health care in the community.
