Definitions of Quality of Family Folder Information and Its Hindrances in Primary Care Units in Satun Province - ความหมาย และปัญหาของคุณภาพของแฟ้มในสุขภาพครอบครัวของหน่วยบริการปฐมภูมิ จังหวัดสตูล
บทคัดย่อ
This research was aimed at describing the factors related to the quality of family folder information of primary care units in Satun province which were collected in a pilot study from two data sources. Twenty family folders and a total of ten informants were selected using purposive sampling method. Data were collected in an in-depth interview. The instrument was tested by three experts for its content validity, and the content of the data were analyzed after data triangulation.
The results showed that administrations and health workers interpreted meaning of family folder information quality similarly that were complete, up-to-date, correct the reliable and applicable. The public health volunteers concluded the meaning of family folder information quality that it was to be good, complete, applicable, and factual. In addition, administrators and operators defined similarly as being complete, correct, and up-to-date. 1) To be complete implied good quality of contents, being comprehensive with supplement of details, maps, family tree charts etc. 2) To be correct underlined unabridged accuracy, reliability, without diviations or personal bias. 3) To be upto- date dictated the needs for current information (within the past 6 months) and applicability. Both groups spelled out that obstacles were 1) lack of knowledge 2) lack of training 3) limited use of family folders and 4) too heavy work-load.
The results should be duly applied to policy making, supervising process, and resources allocation in order to bring about changes and improvements for the better.
