Factors Affecting Intelligence Quotient of Children Aged 3 - 5 Years Old in Pattani Province - ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อระดับสติปัญญา เด็กอายุ 3-5 ปี ในจังหวัดปัตตานี

บทคัดย่อ

              This survey research aimed to examine intelligence quotient, factors affecting intelligence quotient, and influences of independent and dependent variables. The research samples were 819 children aged between three to five years-old studying in child development centers, public schools and private schools in Pattani province. Data were collected by using intelligence assessment tool and questionnairs on associated factors for teachers and parents; and were analyzed by using percentage, chi-square, and logistic regression. It was found that the significant factors affected the children to have intelligence quotient less than 90 (16.2%) or >90 (83.8%) were types of schools, school attendance, parents’ occupations, birth defects and perception of social media violence. The results from this study had improved understanding intelligence quotient and factors affecting intelligence quotient of children; and provided guidance to develop care systems for children with intellectual problems.
