Containment of Leptospirosis - การควบคุมเลปโตสไปโรซิสไว้

บทคัดย่อ

In compliances with the International Health Regulations 2005 (IHR 2005), member states
were obligated to build capacity on surveillance, investigation and control of zoonotic diseases.
Leptospirosis is an important disease in Thailand which can be called a zoonotic disease, water
borne disease or flood borne disease. In 2011, Thailand faced a severe flooding and forecasting of
having possible more floods because of global warming. Therefore, this article was aimed at increasing
capacity of Surveillance and Rapid Response Team on zoonotic diseases. Four E’s strategies
(four-E strategy early detection, early diagnosis, early treatment and early control) to control of
leptospirosis by SRRT were reviewed in many specific context, for example, 1) outbreak from
ecotourism 2) outbreak in military camp 3) outbreak during flood in urban area and 4) outbreak
during flood in rural area.
